Thinking about treating yourself to dinner at David Beckham and Gordon Ramsey's restaurant when it opens? Yeah, good luck with that, as the venue is now fully booked up until November after more than 2,500 reservations were made within two hours of its website going live. Ramsay and Becks' joint venture, the Union Street Café, is set to open in Southwark, London on 16th September, and the celebrity chef himself is clearly looking forward to it, tweeting: "Exciting times @unionstreetcafe - 1200 covers booked in first 30 minutes of lines opening! G x" Exciting times indeed - with mains set to be priced around £40, and over 2,500 reservations so far, that's... well, you do the maths.
They both have more than enough money already.
Don't people realise that apart from Beckham adding his name and a bit of dosh to the restaurant he is nothing to do with it, if I were paying £40 for a main I would want him to do the washing up at least. Fact is he will be no where near the place and just get richer for doing nothing, and as for that foul mouthed Ramsey, don't get me started.
WELL DONE GORDON & DAVID. (PLEASE BRING YOUR GROUP TO LATVIA) WERE PEOPLE WILL PAY......................................
Sorry in my book this will be wonderful place and a super meal. yes I will pay this price. been to Gordons In Dubia and france. and also England. so if you want the best you pay for want you get. plus it's my place when I was growning up as kid in south London. now going up in the world. hat's off to David and Gordon. just look in the west end price's Sh*t food for high price's........ some people have small minds
I am embarrassed that people are slating the £40 charge. That is a normal price for London and people like Gordon and David who work hard outside of their chosen profession as well should be rewarded the same as everyone who gets off their backside and grafts!
To be honest anyone who spends a fiver on a Big Mac meal wouldn't appreciate the food anyhow!
