Heston Blumenthal described the World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards as being "a snapshot of the moment." We'd hoped The Fat Duck would reach the top 10, but with Heston pretty distracted this year, it's perhaps no surprise. Sadly he's dropped from fifth place in 2011, but 'lucky 13th' - in the world - is a great achievement.
