Vivek Singh's third restaurant is his most laid-back and fun, with a menu unlike most you'll find in an Indian restaurant. Dishes include an Indian pizza, a tandoori chicken and chilli Delhi sandwich and a rogan josh shepherd's pie, as well as its balls - named by Time Out as one of London's 100 best dishes - which include crab cakes, potato bondas and its brilliant Bangla Scotch egg. There are more traditional dishes as well, such as the delectable smoked saddle of Cumbrian lamb in a spiced onion sauce. "The secret to a good curry is good spices, an understanding of the sequence in which to use them, long slow cooking and lots of love," says executive chef and CEO Singh. "Use whole spices at the beginning of cooking, add ground pieces either during cooking or as a finishing spice. Usually, the more expensive the spice, the later it's added and the smaller the quantity it's used in."

Ha Ha Ha!

Glasgow has won UK curry capital in 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2010, more than any other city since the award began in 2001 and yet they don't seem to have any of the UK's best Curry Houses?

I think this list is null and void!

Do your research next time MSN...

hey john bender reynolds, suprised they even let you put that racist comment on here. you probaly the  worst junky crack head scum of the universe but no ones complaining

Once again almost all the curry restaurants are in London and the South with two token ones in the North (what a surprise). Its obvious where the writer is based. What about Bradford and Manchester whose restaurants win national curry award. At least half a dozen restaurants from both these cities would be on any top ten list.

John Reynolds you have no basis for your comments. The most Dishonest? i think you will find that incorrect.. how dare you make such a comment. do you have evidence to suggest that they are 'the most dishonest'? also you call them dirty because clean there **** with water? what do you clean your arrs with.. id love to know?  'p*** and s*** anywhere' where have you got this from? you obviously know nothing of the culture or people. I suggest if you know nothing and you have no evidence to back up your absured claims you keep your lips sealed you scum bag!

John Reynolds.

It does warm my cockles when people like you attempt wit. You are blatantly a backward inbred little oik who no doubt just eats egg and chips and the closest you will go to trying something new is when bisto bring out new gravy granules or macdonalds and their new burgers. You are frankly an embarrasment to this country...your parents must be so proud of you, you obnoxious little T.I,T. attached is a link to a kids dictionary so you can work on the words over two syllables

Shahi Karahi in Rayners Lane, is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Their chef has a special touch which just makes all his food taste just sublime, and just that little bit better than all the other curries you've ever eaten! His Butter Chicken is to die for!

It seems that the writer hasn't spent an awful time researching and has just gone to upmarket places to search out these restaurants...it's a shame really, because great restaurants that are deserving get missed out!

Why no Scottish restaurants as Glasgow has won Britain's best Curry on numerous occasions

Scotland, Wales and Northern ireland don't seem to have any Curry restaurants!!, come on guys there's a world outside of London, if your going to do a survey at least make it representative of the UK

One day we might see a real restaurant, or any other, survey done by MSN, but I will not hold my breath.  It looks like the writer just picked up a few best eating places books and used them to create this bit of fluff.  There are far more Indian restaurants in this country than the pittance shown here!

Hey Burtonboy the "pie" is a dum biryani. The naan is cooked on top of the dish.

I've been to Tayyabs a couple of times it's the best Indian dining experience ever.

Usually these "UK" reports have one in Scotland, one in Wales, occasionally one in Norn Irn and the rest in England but this one takes the cake. Suddenly England is the UK.

Omar Khyam in Haymarket, Edinburgh is superb, The Dahkin in Candleriggs, Glasgow do a 30" long family dosai to die for, The Manzil in Aberdeen with their haggis pakora, the Tabla in Perth with about 300 amazing Trip Advisor reviews, I could go on.

This report is akin to American's thinking that the US is the world.

I travel around with my partner for work and we go to Bradford every month or so. I have eaten in many restaurants over there but nothing compare with SPICE LOUNGE in Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham. The Owner is from Bangladesh and they come from Bradford every day to run this place. The food is just amazing and the bread, couldn't be freshier...
