Heckfield Place, Hampshire
Skye Gyngell, former head chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant Petersham Nurseries, will take the role of culinary director at country house hotel Heckfield Place when it opens in March next year. The hotel will have three dining rooms; The Beckwith, a 30-cover intimate eating space; The Restaurant, a more casual offer; and The Stables, where four dishes will be available daily alongside locally produced ciders and beers.
The Square Bar and Restaurant, Harrogate
Husband-and-wife team Darren and Debbie Gladman will open their new restaurant and bar in Harrogate this October. Darren Gladman, a former head chef at stylish Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate, will serve a menu focusing on modern British dishes that use seasonal Yorkshire produce.
