This Devon fish and chip shop is passionate about serving up sustainable and traceable fish. Their plaice, lemon sole, monkfish, John Dory, hake and pollack are all landed in south-west ports including Brixham, Plymouth and Looe. Named best in the region now for the seventh time, owner David Hanbury has plenty to be proud about.

The best fish and chips I've had in years was last year - Pinnacles in Seahouses, Northumberland. A truly gut-gorging experience!
Having previously lived in London for 10 years, I'm delighted to see that none have made the list. I was on self-imposed exile from my favourite dish because the quality ranged from god-awful to marginally edible. That, and often being charged often over a tenner for the privilage at arrogant 'gastro-chippies'.
To be fair, well done to MSN for once for publishing a third party top ten, rather than their usual self-proclaimed listing. The hacks would have put at least 5 of the 10 in London, with the odd token 'surprisingly good' chippy they visited on a weekend escape to Dorset / Norfolk.
