Tom Kerridge's alternative Christmas dinner
Here at MSN Food we love to eat, so we were thrilled to have the chance to get a front row seat to watch Tom Kerridge cook an alternative Christmas feast. The Michelin-starred chef was preparing a festive feast without a hint of turkey, but we couldn’t help but be slightly sceptical. Would Christmas dinner be good enough without a whopping great bird in the middle of the table?
Well, the answer is yes. A very over-stuffed yes. We never should have doubted a poultry-free Christmas dinner, especially when said dinner was designed and prepared by the brilliant Mr Kerridge, who owns the Michelin-starred gastropub The Hand & Flowers in Marlow.
In honour of brand new animated movie Free Birds – which sees a couple of turkeys (Reggie, voiced by Owen Wilson, and Jake, voiced by Woody Harrelson) try to get turkey off the Christmas menu – Tom showed us how to make the most delectable Christmas dinner we’ve ever had at the famous L’Atelier des Chefs in London. We then got to taste it ourselves and we can confirm it was all delicious.
