The perfect introduction to wine, Simon Hoggart's updated edition is an amusing read for all. It's aimed at the amateur wine lover who is prepared occasionally to spend a little more than supermarket prices to get something special, but all of his suggestions are still reasonable value. There is no pretentious wine speak, but a witty description of over 100 wines.

JERK PORK IS AMAZING, EVERYONE LOVED IT & I'LL NEVER BE AFRAID TO COOK PORK AGAIN (WHICH IS MY LEAST FAVOURITE MEAT) IT TOOK ME A LOT LONGER THAN 15 MINUTES THOUGH.  I'M SURE IT CAN BE DONE IF YOU DON'T HAVE COMPANY IN YOUR KITCHEN OR A GLASS OF WINE WINKING AT YOU LOL.  MAKES ME WANT TO PICK ANOTHER FOR TOMORROW BUT ALREADY PREPARED A SHEPHERDS PIE PREVIOUSLY WHICH BECAME RELEGATED AFTER MY PARTNER BOUGHT ME THIS BOOK!
