Cooleeney Farmhouse Cheese
County Tipperary is our next stop, where Cooleeney Farmhouse Cheese has been nominated in the Soft White Cow class for daru. A semi-hard cheese with a natural rind, this is a buttery cheese with a hint of grass - in a good way. Its makers recommend matching it with a pinot noir or, better we'd say, viognier.
with good cheese forget biscuits just add wine and grapes and apple slices, mmmm...
has anyone tried cornwall's blue cheese? absolutely delicious!!! one of the super markets had it on tasting tray, and soon after that, i never saw it again on their cheese counter. crying out load! what a shame!!!
