OK but that is just a coffee flavoured drink and nothing like real coffee.

All you need for the perfect cup of coffee is a simple espresso pot, the sort that you put on the stove, available in supermarkets for about £5.00. Or you can use a cafetierre, again available anywhere for around £ 6.00.
Of course the ground coffee that you use is crucial...I'm half Italian so maybe I'm slightly biased, I use Lavazza Rossa and always get wonderful coffee with tantalising aromas.

I used to have a Moka years ago ,I have to say that I quite like the aroma,I also liked to  watch the rich brown coffee percolating through the top of the pipe.

I then bought a Krups espresso, which was a two-cup model,it was good, but,I don't really like to spend  too much time on the coffee-making ritual.

I like to keep thing's simple, which is why the Moka is good on a gas  stove, not so good on electric, though, come to think of it,I think you can buy an electric coffee pot type of coffee maker.

I really appreciate good coffee though,as Laura says, the coffee that you use is crucial,I also love all things Italian, hence my image of Gigliola Cinquetti,I love her to bits, just like a good coffee in the morning,Gigliola really perks me up with her songs & I think she is a la bella .

I think there is some evidence that as we get older, coffee drinking staves of the effects of diseases like Alzheimers, but then we coffee drinkers know what is good for us anyway.

Krups XN2120 Essenza Eco Nespresso Machine

Great coffee maker.

RIP OFF coffee delivery charges. Binned my machine on the strength of it, So also a very expensive cup of coffee in the end.

My advice dont buy a machine from a shop that you cannot purchase the actual coffe from as well,

you are in effect asking to get ripped off

Excellent coffee Laura. I have two stove top machines but prefer to use my Francis Francis espresso machine. This produces a wonderful crema on top of the coffee. It is crucial that the coffee is ground fine enough.

Take a flask of coffee (or tea) to work and save thyself loads of money

For fresh coffee, place filter coffee in a jug (about tablepoon per cup), pour on hot water just of the boil. Let brew for a couple of mins Then pour through two tea strainers into cup or mug...perfect

The Russell Hobs machine makes great coffee and uses a high brewing temperature. Unfortunately the stainless steel front isn't made for these temperatures so it expands and falls off. My first machine did it after 2 months. Then I went back to the store and got a new one, which did it after 1 month. I got my money back.

Tesco instant coffee 47p. There you go saved a lot of money there. Can't stand coffee out of machines.

Kettle, instant coffee granules, bit of milk, sugar, job done. You won't catch me prancing around with a £100 coffee machine, keep it simple, buy a kettle.
