Biography: Nikki Haynes

Nikki Haynes, contributor, MSN Food
Nikki Haynes has been writing for glossy magazines, national newspapers and websites for over five years now. She's just returned from an antipodean stint, which found her living in Melbourne, Australia for a year.
While stalking the cast of Neighbours, drinking lots of coffee and Sauvignon Blanc, and eating A LOT, she freelanced for various publications such as The Age newspaper, Melbourne Broadsheet, Mr & Mrs Smith and Virgin Blue Voyeur. Her main body of experience is in writing about food, celebrity and travel, but she has delved into a wide array of areas including health, beauty, fashion, parenting, films and entertainment, she can turn her hand to pretty much any subject.
Her first foray into the magazine world was when she helped launch food and travel title fresh Magazine in 2005. With only three members of staff and two weeks to launch a large, glossy, monthly, she had to be extremely organised, calm under pressure, good-humoured, use her initiative and make lots of tea and coffee. Despite its craziness this is where she fell in love with her profession, and it was also the start of her coffee addiction. She hasn't looked back since.
