Biography: Neil Davey

Thomas Bowles
Neil Davey, contributor, MSN Food
After 11 years in private banking, Neil Davey realised something important: he hated it. However, it did leave him with a love of food and drink, so it wasn't all bad.
Since then he's done one job he's not legally allowed to discuss, achieved career nirvana as a cheesemonger, edited assorted publications and written about all sorts of things for all sorts of people.
Over the last 10 years, Neil has interviewed lots of famous people and written about food, drink, travel, films, technology, showbiz and music for the likes of Hello, Total Film, The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail, SAGA, Virgin Media, Square Mile, Lusso Magazine, 1 Degree and The Irish Post. He's also part of the award-winning games review team at The Guardian, has a very good Kelly Brook story and knows more about Britney Spears than a man in his forties really should.
When not writing about food, travelling the world to eat, or sitting in a darkened room watching a film or playing Xbox, Neil can be found in the kitchen honing his cooking skills or at the allotment, where his wife occasionally lets him destroy things with power tools.
