Biography: Ben McFarland

As well as scribbling about all things drink for various magazines and newspapers, Ben is also the author of two award-winning books on beer - Good Beer Guide West Coast USA (co-written with Tom Sandham) and World's Best Beers: 1,000 Unmissable Brews From Portland to Prague. He is currently writing a third called Boutique Beers due to be published next year.
Alongside Tom Sandham, Ben founded dwink.com and (soon to launch) thinkingdrinkers.com. Ben and Tom also researched, wrote and performed the critically-acclaimed Thinking Drinker's Guide To Alcohol at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and sold out at the London Soho Theatre in April 2012.
When he is not writing about booze, Ben can be found drinking Hobo Beer and being disappointed by Queens Park Rangers.
